Chris’s Clock Academy
Now in development: a clock repair training academy from the team behind Chris’s Clock Repair in Southfield, Michigan.
Our Vision
We’re building a standard clock repair training academy that turns out competent clock repairmen efficiently and effectively. Our goal is a steady pipeline of skilled technicians who carry on the craft, help us serve more customers, and one day staff new Chris’s Clock Repair locations. Once the curriculum is proven in our shop, we plan to offer it more widely, including as online training.
What You’ll Learn
Training is hands-on and built on the same methods we use every day: servicing and restoring grandfather, cuckoo, wall and mantel clocks, from disassembly, cleaning and oiling to repair, reassembly, test running and in-home service calls.
Our Track Record
Our training already works. Brendan, our lead clock repairman, trained with us and is now a professional clock repairman. Eric, our current apprentice, is well underway in his training.
Now Accepting Apprentices
Want to become an apprentice or learn clock repair? We’d love to hear from you. Email chrisclockrepair@gmail.com or call (947) 217-8063 to tell us about yourself and ask about openings. Training is by appointment only.
